After a goalless first half Aston Villa seized control of the game against Crystal Palace in the second. Ultimately Aston Villa won Saturday's home game in the Premier League 3-1.
The first half was goalless, but straight after half-time, Odsonne Edouard made his mark as he netted, with an assist by Jean-Philippe Mateta, to give Crystal Palace the lead.
Crystal Palace looked for a while to be the winners. The equaliser came in the final minutes, when Jhon Durán found the net for Aston Villa, with an assist by Lucas Digne.
The deciding goal came in extra time, when Douglas Luiz scored from the penalty spot for Aston Villa.
Aston Villa increased the lead to 3-1 right after this as Leon Bailey scored, with an assist by Moussa Diaby, to completed Aston Villa's come back.
Aston Villa have now won three and lost two of their last five games having scored 11 and conceded 10. Meanwhile Crystal Palace have two wins and one draw with 6 goals for and 7 against.
The result means Aston Villa are now in seventh place in the table and that Crystal Palace are eighth in the league.
